Guidelines and Rules

In order to safeguard our members and keep the forum friendly and helpful, a set of rules have been put together that we ask all forum users to comply with.

  1. Please remember that the owners and moderators of the Asperger Home Education forum are NOT responsible for any messages posted. Neither do we guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information posted by a forum user.
  2. The messages express the views of the author of the message which are not necessarily the collective or general views of the forum members.
  3. Forum users must not post any material which is knowingly false, factually inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, potentially libellous, or otherwise in violation of the law.
  4. Forum users must not post any copyrighted material unless they own the copyright.
  5. Advertising and soliciting of products and services of a commercial nature is not permitted.
  6. Please refrain from using swear words or vulgar English in messages.
  7. Please do not post messages with the subject or content all in upper case letters.
  8. The moderators reserve the right to remove or edit any messages that are in violation of the forum rules. Forum members will be informed via private messaging (PM) if their messages are removed or edited along with reasons for the decision.
  9. Any messages that the moderators consider to be insulting, abusive, obscene, inflammatory (often known as flame baiting, flaming or trolling), or personal attacks on other forum users will be promptly removed and the forum user issued with a stern warning.
  10. Links to external websites are checked and verified by the moderators for suitability. Forum users must not place links to copyrighted material, warez sites, or websites with pornographic or objectionable content. The moderators reserve the right to remove a link to an external website that has content which is in violation of the forum rules.
  11. Forum members are asked to use the forum on a "single identity" basis. Posting under multiple identities is not acceptable. The forum software records the IP number of all users whenever they login.
  12. The owners and moderators reserve the right to update or revise the forum rules as and when required, or to reflect changes in legislation. Please check the Forum Rules and Privacy policy pages periodically for changes.

If a forum user has any concerns about a particular message then please contact a moderator either by sending them a private message (PM) or an email to info@aspergersupport.org.uk clearly stating your concerns.

Regards,

The Asperger Home Education forum administrator.
